Punahou will repeat as State Champions, Mililani was lucky against Kahuku. Mililani had the luxury to get away with a victory without a complete Kahuku football team. With the ex-Kahuku players on the Punahou roster, they’ll asure Mililani Kahuku’s defeat wasn’t a fluke.

Exactly which former Kahuku players are you referring too?
I only know of a former Punahou player transferring/recruited to Kahuku.
Mililani also has a former Punahou player.
Records show all players on 9th grade Punahou roster.

It is ironic that after finally beating Kahuku, who has the best program in recent years, Punahou goes down in the rankings…doesn’t matter though, as the victory will never be forgotten.

They went down in the rankings because of how they won. They had to many turn overs, their qb who had an inhuman QB rating was terrible, their RB who average a 1st down everytime he touched the ball was terrible, their reciever who had all Universe numbers was terrible, their defense witch played a offense who’s coach was making some terrible offensive calls was terrible. So yeah i think that would drop them in the rankings.

@recruiter. Punahou was down right terrible against Kahuku. Probably their worst performance ever. But even at their worst, it was still better and good enough to beat Kahuku. I can already hear the “ref” excuse. You can say those P.I. Penalties gave Punahou the win, but who knows for certain what would have happened had those calls weren’t made? Assumptions is what’s left.

@Truth, are you referring to the Kahuku/Laie kid that went to Punahou but then came back to Kahuku by choice? Kahuku doesn’t recruit, they get recruited!

  7. truth November 19, 2014 7:48 am

    justsaying,
so all kids that go to private schools do not go there by choice?
Funny how Kahuku is the only school complaining about recruiting, not Farrington, or Kapolei.
How many Laie kids are at St Louis now? were they forced to go there too?Kapalama?
Concentrate on the kids you have and be happy, R Torres won championships many times and yet I have never heard him complain about transfers, is this the new mentality of the new staff to find reasons why they dont win?
Show me one Punahou kid that went to Kahuku high school, show me one!
this is getting old already, try to move on.

@Truth, that was in response to your comment about you knowing one kid that got recruited to Kahuku from Punahou. He wasn’t recruited, he came home. Transferred? Yes. Recruited? No!

  9. Recruiter808 November 19, 2014 2:01 pm

@guess. I didnt say nothing about the refs. The refs are going to call what they want when they want. We as fans have no control over that. All i am saying is that they dropped in the rankings because they played terrible against a team that everyone(but Kahuku) thought they were going to blow away. You cant have 7 turn overs and less yards than the team you beat and expect to still be ranked Nationally. They should of dropped in the Hawaii rankings also to #2 and Mililani should of went up a spot if anything.

Manti Te’o is a Punahou kid that went to Kahuku High School. Any other silly questions?

  11. Recruiter808 November 19, 2014 2:13 pm

@truth. What are you talking about? Okimoto was in the papers complaining about losing kids to other schools. But yet he dont complain about his kicker Sasaoka(who’s brothers played at kahuku and Father was the Kahuku Kicking Coach).I bet you didnt know that or the reason he left for Farrington huh. The Kapolei coach throws in a jab or two every chance he gets about losing kids when he is a commentator on OC16. You dont recall the Mililani game when he commented on one of Mililani’s Linebackers and how he had coached him at Kapolei the year before or how about when Mililanis defensive end made a play and he said that the kid was doing that all year last year for Rosevelt.
