Punahou slipped one notch to No. 21 in this week’s CBS MaxPreps Xcellent 25 national football rankings.

The Buffanblu (7-0) had a bye last week. St. John Bosco (Calif.), which defeated Saint Louis early in the season, is No. 6 in the rankings. Bishop Gorman (Nev.) is No. 1.

Punahou is at No. 22 in the USA Today Super 25 rankings, the same position it held a week ago.

Punahou will play Kahuku on Saturday at Aloha Stadium in the semifinal round of the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA Division I Football State Championships.
