VB: Buffanblu back in

Ross Kinsler wasn’t expecting another shuffle in the lineup, but he’ll take it.

The La Pietra athletic director announced late Thursday that No. 1-ranked Punahou is back in the Bump, Set & Spike for the Cure exhibition volleyball tournament. The one-day event is set for Saturday with an expanded field of six teams, including No. 2 Kamehameha, No. 4 Hawaii Baptist and seventh-ranked Moanalua.

The tourney is a much-needed tune-up for Punahou and Kamehameha, which haven’t played since last Saturday. The Division I and II state tournaments begin this Wednesday. League champions Punahou (D-I) and HBA (D-II) will have first-round byes.

The benefit is for the Susan G. Komen for Cure, a grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists. The action begins at noon.
