Campbell standout Titus Mokiao-Atimalala commits to UCF

Campbell senior Titus Mokiao-Atimalala took a big step toward his football future on Saturday with a commitment to UCF.

The Star-Advertiser all-state wide receiver announced his choice on social media, selecting the Golden Knights over Hawaii, Maryland, Nebraska, USC and UCLA. Former all-state offensive player of the year Dillon Gabriel of Mililani is the starting quarterback at UCF. Former Kamehameha offensive lineman Lokahi Pauole joined UCF last season.

In all, the 6-foot-1, 170-pound playmaker has 20 offers from across the country. Letter-of-intent signing day is on Wednesday.

Mokiao-Atimalala’s family and friends celebrated at their home.

As a junior, Mokiao-Atimalala had 62 receptions for 1,136 yards and 18 receiving touchdowns. In 2018, as a sophomore, Mokiao-Atimalala hauled in 75 passes for 1,385 yards and 14 TDs.

He also had big plays as a safety last season, returning five picks for touchdowns.

UCF??!! They don’’t even know who their next HC will be and they’re a G5 program on the way down. Been downhill ever since MM got hurt. They were bad before MM and will be bad once again. Check out the declining record over the past 3 years. Bad choice, bro. How do you turn down USC, ND, Oregon and the other P5 schools for a program that UH will probably be better than next year?

UCF just lost their head coach to Tennessee, wonder if Titus is still going to sign? He’s not actually committed until he signs!

Why UCF? Heck, all u gotta tell me is Disney World and I’m in. Lol.

TRUTH is, it don’t matter what school you choose, because if you’re great the NFL will find you. Wentz, Big Ben, Trey Lance, Zac Wilson, Tyreek Hill, Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Aaron Jones, Fred Werner, etc, etc, etc. If you truly aspire to be great then nothing will get in your way.

    Enjoy the sunshine in Orlando!

ps: Stop hating when these young men don’t choose UH Manoa. Most of you don’t go to the games anyway.

Maybe because its as far from Ewa Beach that he could get. IDK.
Maybe they have an educational program there that he is interested in.
Could be that they offered the best deal for him and his Ohana.
Possibly, its the one of the better schools that he qualified for.
Or he has Ohana near that school.
His parents have jobs lined up there.

Whatever his reasons are is for him and his Ohana to know.
We should just be happy for another local boy having an opportunity to show the nation that we got talent in the 808.

Congratulations to this young man and fam and to all those who contributed to helping him get here.
