Twenty-seven of Hawaii’s 47 high school football teams are still in the chase for one of the 14 state tournament spots.
Schools in contention for the berths in the Open Division (4), Division I (5) and Division II (5) are below.
Baldwin clinched the MIL’s spot in the D-I state tournament with a 27-21 win over Maui on Saturday.

We have to fix this rankings, Punahou and Saint Louis should be in the State Tournament. Look at there records. We set rankings like college so we should consider the top 4 teams hands down no matter what. Any top 4, ILH or OIA. Its deserved.

It doesn’t work that way in the HHSAA rule book. But, if you have pull, feel free to lobby for it next year.
ILH guys have been crying for two ILH teams in the top tier state tournament for the longest time. But last time that happened they did not both reach the final. I believe Kapolei beat them. So yes this year they might be ranked #2 but doesn’t mean at the end they would be. They only just beat Mililani. My opinion only. Just saying.
Anyways ILH only get three teams in top tier. How can a league with three teams, get two into a tournament. You ILH huggers all use to say even Kamehameha would beat all OIA but the open only proves that wrong.
