Another big-time football prospect from Saint Louis is now off the board.

Stanley Mckenzie, a 6-foot-2, 270-pound defensive tackle who made the All-State third team as a junior, announced his college commitment on social media today.

Mckenzie chose the Bears out of an offer sheet of 11 schools: Arizona, Boise State, California, Central Michigan, Hawaii, Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon State, San Jose State, UNLV and Virginia.

UPDATE: Mililani’s Muelu Iosefa, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound linebacker, has also committed to California. Iosefa had offers from Arizona, BYU, California, Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon State and Southern California.

He is the second Saint Louis player to make a commitment this week after linebacker Nick Herbig announced he was committing to Wisconsin on Monday after taking an official visit to the school.

Another Crusaders linebacker, Jordan Botelho, announced in April he was committing to Notre Dame.

California isn’t the only school to land a recruit from Hawaii this week. Oregon received a commitment from Farrington offensive lineman Faaope Laloulu over the weekend.

Saint Louis receiver Drew Kobayashi was the last player from Hawaii to sign with the Golden Bears out of high school in 2016 but has since transferred to Washington State.

Offensive lineman Semisi Uluave (Punahou) just completed his four-year collegiate career last year with the Bears and receiver Kanawai Noa (Punahou) spent four seasons at Cal before joining Nebraska earlier this year as a graduate transfer.
