10:16: Faialuga scores from 8 yards out for the Marauders. Amorozo kicks the extra point. LEILEHUA 50, WAIPAHU 20, midway through fourth quarter (stadium clock not working).


10:08: Tom-Makue kicks an 18-yard field goal. LEILEHUA 50, WAIPAHU 13, fourth quarter (stadium clock is not working).

9:48: On Waipahu’s next play from scrimmage, Vitale intercepts a Marques pass and returns it 24 yards for a touchdown. Tom-Makue kicks the extra point. LEILEHUA 47, WAIPAHU 13, late third quarter (stadium clock is broken).

9:46: Leilehua keeps on rolling. Nichols connects with Kalei Akagi on a 24-yard touchdown pass. Tom-Makue kicks the extra point. LEILEHUA 40, WAIPAHU 13, late third quarter (stadium clock not working).

9:39: Marques runs for 16 yards and then makes a 35-yard completion to Branson Jay Reyes to the Leilehua 10. But Marques fumbles and the Mules’ Jaeden Chow recovers.

9:37: Mules go three and out and punt.

9:34: A 13-yard Marques to Gooman pass and a 16-yard Failauga run get the ball to the Leilehua 12, but Failauga fumbles and the Mules’ Kahakai Kahoiwai recovers.

9:27: Two McGary runs and a Marauders penalty bring the ball to the 1, and on the next play, Nichols sneaks in for a touchdown. Tom-Makue kicks the extra point. LEILEHUA 33, WAIPAHU 13, late third quarter (stadium clock not working).

9:22: Waipahu’s punt hits one of the Marauders blockers and is recovered at the Waipahu 30 by Pio.

9:15: Failauga fumbles on Waipahu’s next possession. Leilehua’s Vitale Afoa scoops and scores from 11 yards out. Tom-Makue kicks the extra point. LEILEHUA 26, WAIPAHU 13, early third quarter (stadium clock not working).

9:12: McGary gets open down the right sideline and hauls in a 39-yard TD pass from Nichols. Tom-Makue kicks the extra point. LEILEHUA 19, WAIPAHU 13, early in third quarter (stadium clock not working).

9:10: Nichols picks up a first down at the Waipahu 39 with a 4-yard third-down run.

9:08: Marauders go three and out on their first possession of the second half and punt. Mules ball on their 49.

9:05: Waipahu will receive the second-half kickoff.

8:40: Halftime.

8:37: Marques is sacked twice in a row for a total of 23 yards — by Wakefield and Kiaka Pio. Marauders have a third down and 33 from their 12. 0:19 seconds left in first half.

8:32: Nichols hits Evans over the middle and deep for a 47-yard touchdown. Tom-Makue’s kick is blocked again. WAIPAHU 13 LEILEHUA 12 1:23 left in first half.

8:25: After a 5-yard penalty Failauga runs 6 yards to the 2. On the next play, Marques runs in for a 2-yard TD. Amorozo’s extra-point kick is blocked by Leilehua’s Ethan Kuth. WAIPAHU 13, LEILEHUA 6, 2:06 left in first half.

8:24: Marques scrambles and finds Tote over the middle wide open for a 40-yard gain to the Leilehua 3.

8:22: Waipahu running back Alfred Failauga, who was shut down early on runs five straight times for 33 yards.


8:17: Tom-Makue is on to try a 45-yard field goal. It’s no good. A line drive goes about 2 feet under the crossbar.

8:14: The Mules are on the move, thanks in part to a Jeremy Evans 17-yard catch of a Nichols pass. Ball is at the Waipahu 31.

8:07: Marauders go three and out and punt. Leilehua ball at its 16.

8:04: Mules have a fourth down and 4 at the Waipahu 34, but a Nichols pass falls incomplete. Waipahu ball. Mules are 0-for-2 on fourth-down conversions.

8:02: First quarter ends.

8:01: Jashawn Wakefield sacks Marques deep in Waipahu territory and the Marauders punt. Leilehua ball at the Waipahu 40.

7:56: On the next play, James McGary goes off right tackle for a 9-yard TD run. Akoni Tom-Makue’s extra-point kick is blocked by the Marauders’ Zeondre Benjamin. WAIPAHU 7, LEILEHUA 6, 2:10 left in first quarter.

7:55: A quick pass from Nichols to Dorian Furtado — thanks to some sweet jukes and speed by Furtado — turns into a 50-yard completion to the Waipahu 9.

7:49: Marques takes a keeper around left end for a 3-yard touchdown. Brycen Amorozo kicks the extra point. WAIPAHU 7, LEILEHUA 0, 3:16 left in first quarter.

7:46: A fourth false start penalty continues to push the Marauders back.

7:42: Waipahu’s Deacon Kapea picks off a Nichols pass and returns it 26 yards to the Leilehua 2. But three false start penalties in a row push the ball all the way back to the 17.

7:39: The Marauders can’t get farther and punt. Leilehua takes over on its 9.

7:35: Waipahu takes over on downs. A lateral from QB Cody Marques to Jovan Gooman is followed by Gooman’s pass to Saxon Tote for 30 yards and a first down at the Mules’ 42.

7:31: A third-down Max Nichols pass falls incomplete. It’s fourth down and 4 from the Marauders’ 33.

7:29: Leilehua gets a first down on a Waipahu pass interference penalty.

7:25: Leilehua recieves the kick. Waipahu is defending the south end zone.

7:24: We are seconds away from kickoff. Leilehua won the JV game over Waipahu 30-0.

    Best to both teams will be watching the game. This is a contact sport above all else from line men to back field when every thing is said and done for 4Qt’s. This is the type of games you remember for a life time when you give it your all “ROCK ON”!!!:)
