Saint Louis linebacker Jordan Botelho, who is the No. 1-rated player from Hawaii among the junior class, was listed in the first ESPN 300 recruiting rankings for 2020 released on Friday.

Botelho, who is currently 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, was rated as the No. 129 overall prospect and seventh among prospects at outside linebacker.

The recruiting website 247Sports has Botelho listed as the No. 194 overall prospect. It also has four of the top five prospects from Hawaii in the class of 2020 from Saint Louis — WR Matt Sykes (No. 2), OLB Nick Herbig (No. 3) and OLB Darrell Masaniai (No. 5).

St. Francis offensive lineman Ope Laloulu, who is 6-foot-7 and 340 pounds, is ranked No. 4 and has offers from BYU and Oregon.

Botelho has already racked up offers from eight schools, including five from the Pac-12 — Arizona State, California, Georgia, Hawaii, LSU, Oregon, Utah, Washington.

Botelho was recently named to the MaxPreps Junior All-American second team on defense. Former Kahuku QB Sol-Jay Maiava, who is now at St. John’s in Washington D.C., made the same MaxPreps Junior All-American second team on offense.

Wasn’t this kid recruited for baseball?

Why are we still talking about the ex Kahuku QB? Talk about kids that are here! There’s a LOT of other talented kids to be talked about.

He was recruited as a two sport athlete. Could’ve been a huge baseball recruit as well.

Sol Jay is doing a great job and his school just took over the # 1 ranking team in the nation. Was Sad to see him left but looks like he’s making Hawaii proud and thats all it matters. They just beat up on the #1 team from Alabama (Hoover) and Hoover is playing Thomson High next week which happen to be Taulia Team. Red Raiders would have a good chance with Sol Jay vs Saints.

Sol Jay would have not made a difference if he played against Saint Louis on Sept. 7, so stop whining already, enough excuses, Kahuku lost and thats it, now move on, Mililani up next for you guys.
