GAME NIGHT 9/16: Pearl City/Kaimuki

Two of the three remaining undefeated teams in OIA Division II collide at Skippa Diaz Stadium when Kaimuki and Pearl City go at it tonight. The Bulldogs have beaten the Chargers each of the last two seasons.

9:17: A string of Solomon passes and a 15-yard Seei-Cleveland run gets the ball to the Pearl City 7. 0:56 left.

9:14: Kaimuki starts from its own 36. 2:28 left.

9:13: Chargers go three and out and punt. 2:40 to go.

9:07: Solomon is chased and gets off a pass just before being tackled and the ball lands in the arms of Elijah Lemalu in the end zone. The kick attempt is blocked, but a penalty on Pearl City gives Kaimuki another chance. They try for 2, and Solomon needs to scramble again and heads for the left corner, but at the last second gives a quick toss to Lemalu in the end zone. The defender had left Lemalu to cover the possible run toward the corner of the end zone by Solomon. PEARL CITY 17, KAIMUKI 15, 3:30 left in game.

9:05: Solomon scrambles for 17 yards and a first down at the Chargers’ 18.

9:02: Bulldogs have a fourth down and 15 from the Pearl CIty 35.

8:59: Kaulana Kaluna Jr. recovers a Pearl City fumble. Kaimuki ball at the Pearl City 30.

8:57: Pearl City picks up a first down when Kaimuki jumps offside on a punt situation.

8:54: After a first down, Kaimuki punts it away.

8:45: Asinsin hits Chase Cudimat with a 19-yard pass to the Kaimuki 1. On the next play, Asinsin scores on a 1-yard TD for the second time on the night. Kahn adds the extra point. PEARL CITY 17, KAIMUKI 7, 9:15 left in game.

8:44: Pearl City gets to the 20 on a 15-yard facemask penalty on the Bulldogs.

8:26: Seei-Cleveland gains 12 more yards for another first down at the Chargers’ 38.

8:24: Seei-Cleveland runs four times for 27 yards. Ball is at the 50.

8:19: Chargers punt on their second possession of the second half.

8:18: Kaimuki goes three and out on its first possession of the second half.

8:12: Zameer Kahn kicks a 31-yard field goal. PEARL CITY 10, KAIMUKI 7, 9:50 left in third quarter.


8:11: Makoa Cooper rips off runs of 30 and 37 yards all the way to the Kaimuki 8. The drive bogs down, partly due to a procedure penalty.

7:43: Kaimuki’s Richard Moon III recovers a Pearl City fumble. Ball at its own 36.

7:39: Andre Carter’s 31-yard up-the-middle run for Pearl City brings the ball to the Kaimuki 24.

7:33: Pearl City holds and the Bulldogs punt.

7:24: Kaimuki picks up two first down on the running of Seei-Cleveland. Ball is at the Pearl City 49.

7:19: Pearl City punts and the Bulldogs take over on their own 23.

7:17: On second down, Asinsin is sacked for a 14-yard loss by Kaimuki’s Kaulana Kaluna Jr.

6:58: Seei-Cleveland’s 3-yard run gives Kaimuki a first down at the 12.

6:56: Solomon’s 11-yard run and a 15-yard personal foul on Pearl City pushes the ball to the Pearl City 24.

6:48: Three plays later, Asinsin scores on a 12-yard TD run. Zameer Kahn adds the extra-point kick. PEARL CITY 7, KAIMUKI 0, 5:10 remaining in first quarter.

6:46: Isaiah Asinsin scrambles out of trouble and unloads a 53-yard pass completion to Chase Cudimat. Ball is on the Kaimuki 5.

6:43: Bulldogs can’t go farther and punt. Pearl City ball at the 26.

6:40: Three runs by Ieke Seei-Cleveland for 21 yards moves the ball to the Pearl City 49.

6:37: On the second play, Pearl City is called for pass interference, moving the ball to the 40.

6:34: Kaimuki to start at its own 20. Jordan Solomon is the quarterback.

FIRST QUARTER
