A 4-yard punt into the wind gives Kaiser the ball on its 37 with 1:35 to go. Nguyen scrambles for 13 yards to the 50. First down. Three straight incomplete passes and it’s fourth down. Kaiser will punt with 105 to go.
Bautista at quarterback with injuries to Aiea’s top two QBs.Timeout taken with third-and-11 at the Kaiser 44 with 1:45 to go. Ma’alo Auva’a with a 3-yard run on the QB keeper. Fourth different player to line up at QB for Aiea.

After a timeout on fourth-and-7, Aiea brings in sophomore Jordan Cezar at QB. His first pass is an 8-yard completion to move the chains. Aiea tries a reverse pass but the ball hangs up. Fourth-and-7 at the 21. 3:05 to go. Cezar scrambles and Noah Stinson stops him short. Kaiser takes over on downs.

Tom back in at QB for Kaiser but is shaken up after two plays and Nguyen back in for a third down. Aiea freshman Chayson Lopez with the sack to force a punt.
Aiea with a nice drive and its fourth-and-1 at the Kaiser 33. They try a short throw and a little miscommunication and it’s a turnover on downs.
Nguyen with a 40-yard pass to Ethan Domen but then Kaiser turns it over on downs.
Kaiser gives it back as it looks like Kalahiki-Basque on defense forces a fumble. Aiea recovers but goes three-and-out.
Kaiser’s Hunter Phelps with the INT off a tip and the Cougars take over in Aiea territory.
Nguyen in at QB to start the second half for Kaiser on its 37. Yoshino with his best catch yet as he dives and picks the ball off the ground for a 27-yard reception. Great catch. Turnover on downs.
Kahakili-Basque back in the game and he goes 25 yards on the catch on the first play. Aiea turns it over on downs after a miscommunication on fourth down.

Tom back in at QB for Kaiser. A hold wipes out a first-down run and instead its third-and-23 at the Kaiser 19 with 21.8 seconds to go.
Not sure if Aiea meant to do it but it’s a short kick and rolls 10 yards and Aiea falls on it. Na Alii ball. Kalahiki-Basque with his sixth catch for 113 yards but he’s shaken up on the play. Dylan Soberano with a 24-yard reception but Kaiser DB Dre Falls with the INT in the end zone on the next play.
Offenses for both teams have gone stale. Kalahiki-Basque with a nice catch again as Castillo again stays in the pocket, takes a hit, and delivers a solid throw. Kalahiki-Basque over 100 yards receiving. Third down and Castillo finds Fabian Bautista for a 10-yard TD. 12-12, 4:33.

Kaiser sophomore Mason Yoshino goes up and makes a nice catch for 23 yards. Tom with a throw to the end zone to Yoshino but it’s tipped by Austin Mogote and picked by Fabian Bautista.
Junior Kayson Castillo starts at QB for Na Alii. His second pass is a nice fade down the right side to Zacharias Kalahiki-Basque for 37 yards. Na Alii go for it on fourth down and don’t get it. Kaiser ball.
Senior Koa Tom starts at QB for the Cougars. His first run is a nice 10-yard gain but a big hit forces a fumble. Kaiser recovers. Fourth-and-2 at the Aiea 47 and the first decision for Kaiser coach Tim Seaman here. After a timeout, Kaiser punts.
