Nishigaya puts this one to bed with a 16-yard TD run. 15 carries, 102 yards, 2 TD.

Trevor Kan with his second pick of the day for a Raiders defense that has forced five turnovers.

Kailua looks like it has a safety but defensive holding is called negating the play. It turns into a 12-play, 95-yard drive capped off by Kaua Nishigaya‘s 2-yard TD run with 6:29 left. Nishigaya with some big runs on the drive.

Kase Oshiro with a great catch for a 34-yard gain and sets up Brian-Allen Kamanu‘s 3-yard TD run. 20-6, 10:27, Q4.

Scoreless third quarter, just like the first. We go to the fourth.

‘Iolani with the strip sack on the QB and Kala’ula Chong recovers and runs it back for ‘Iolani but he’s hit and fumbles and Kailua recovers. Trevor Kan then with an INT for ‘Iolani.

Kailua forces an ‘Iolani punt. Surfriders ball on their 20.

Raiders get the ball back with 1:14 left in first half on the Kailua 48. Raiders methodically work their way down the field with a 4-yard fade to Kamana for a TD with 20 seconds left. Kamana with six receptions for 120 yards and 2 TDs in the first half.

Kailua’s Leighton Russell ends an ‘Iolani drive with a sack.

The two teams exchange punts as Kailua drops a sure pick-six. Third fumble of the half by Kailua is recovered by Ignacio of ‘Iolani.

A bad snap goes over the QB’s head and is then kicked about 45 yards down field before ‘Iolani’s Kyler Mento recovers at the Kailua 14. Two plays later, Chong finds Rayden Kaneshiro for a 14-yard TD. 13-0, 9:23.

Chong hits two short passes and then finds Carter Kamana over the middle who turns it upfield and is GONE. 75-yard TD pass. XP is blocked. 6-0 Iol, 10:45.

Kailua fourth-and-7. Ho-Mook completes a pass for 11 yards for a first down but a fumble on the next play recovered by ‘Iolani’s Isaac Igancio.

First quarter ends after Kailua’s 24th consecutive running play. Surfriders face fourth-and-7 to start the second at the ‘Iolani 26.

Junior Jonah Chong at QB for ‘Iolani. Chong completes his first four passes to get ‘Iolani inside the Kailua 20 but is picked off for the first time this season by Kalai Carden-Kiaha.

Junior Raynen Ho-Mook at QB for the Surfriders. Kailua starts with nine straight runs, including a fourth-down conversion, but then a fumble. ‘Iolani recovers.

Kailua wins the toss and will receive.

This is just the second meeting ever between ‘Iolani and Kailua. The Surfriders beat the Raiders 7-0 at Honolulu Stadium on Sept. 9, 1966. Lance Carreira threw a 29-yard TD pass to Henry Kamai with 15 seconds left for the win.
