Kamehameha, Lahainaluna going to wire

It looks like Kamehameha and Lahainaluna are going to go right down to the wire in the girls wrestling state finals today at Blaisdell Arena.

The Warriors have 180.5 points to the defending champion Lunas 179.5.

Both teams have six girls in the final. Kamehameha has five wrestlers on the back end (consolation), and Lahainaluna has four.


‘Iolani has maintained its large lead over Campbell in the boys team standings, 147 to 119.5.

In chronological order, the Lunas’ last wrestler in the finals, which start at 4:30 p.m., will be Kaile Kron in the 117-pound class. Anela Chow (122) will be the Warriors’ last wrestler in the finals.
