By game time at Aloha Stadium, both teams knew that ‘Iolani was en route to a victory over St. Francis in an afternoon game at Eddie Hamada Field. That rendered the Pac-Five/Damien game meaningless in terms of the standings. Both teams would play each other again in a week when the ILH Division II playoffs began.
Nothing really changed. Both teams let it all hang out. After 90 pass attempts combined, it was Damien that prevailed, 26-21. The sequel promises to be even better.
