Radford boys, girls win Velasco Invitational

Radford won the boys and girls team titles at Friday’s Velasco Invitational held at Mililani.

Radford’s Kiyara Peart won the 100-meter dash in 13.61 seconds and the 200 in 28.06. Peart also won the long jump with a distance of 15 feet, 5.50 inches. Mary Moloney doubled up in the distance events by winning the 3,000 (11:23.09) and 1,500 (5:09.27). Kaille Lane also won multiple events for the Rams in the triple jump in (31-4) and the 100 hurdles (18.22). The Radford girls totaled 249 points. Farrington was second with 75 and Nanakuli had 71.


Radford had two double winners in the boys races. Thomas Reed won the 400 in 51.75 and
200 in 23.64. Jacob Vigliante clocked in at 4:41.40 in the 1,500 and 10:23.16 in the 3,000. The Radford boys finished with 171 points. Waipahu was second with 137 and Waianae had 81.
