The OIA White’s football playoffs are set, with the first two games scheduled for Friday night. Fourth-seeded Radford heads to top-seeded Kaiser, and while the Rams are away, No. 2 seed Kalani and No. 3 seed Pearl City will be using their field. Both games follow 5 p.m. junior varsity games. Pearl City’s 7-6 victory over Radford in the regular-season finale on Friday night caused a three-way tie for second place in the conference between the Chargers, Rams and Falcons. […]

The only thing new about the Pearl City football team seems to be its coaching staff, because the results are the same as always. Robin Kami, Pearl City’s third head coach in three years, has his Chargers on a four-game winning streak after starting the year 0-2. The new coach hasn’t just beaten opponents during the streak, he has obliterated them. Pearl City beat Waialua 38-12, Kalaheo 49-8, Anuenue 50-7 and Roosevelt 37-0.
