Scoring for Japan

If you’ve noticed an increase in runs in high school softball this spring, that might work out nicely for the Hawaii Softball Foundation’s fundraiser next week.

The foundation, with help from New City Nissan, will donate $10 for every run scored in Interscholastic League of Honolulu and Oahu Interscholastic Association softball games April 9-15. The campaign, “Score for Japan,” will benefit families of the amateur softball and baseball communities of Honshu, the area devastated by the recent 9.0 magnitude earthquake and tsunami disaster.
