We are underway, I am not going to provide play-by-play but I will denote each winner as it happens by changing the “vs.” to “def.”:

Girls 98
Menjam Tamang, Roosevelt, def. Jackie Agena, Moanalua
Agena, the fourth seed, is going for her second OIA crown. Tamang is the top seed.

Girls 103
Amanda Higa, Moanalua, def. Louise Pekelo, Pearl City
Higa is the top seed and Pekelo is second.

Girls 109
Macy Higa, Roosevelt, def. Mikayla Abe, Pearl City
Higa is the top seed, Abe is second.

Girls 115
Cazrina Pineda-Abaya, Kalani, def. Kaylin Castro, Mililani when Castro could not continue.
Pineda-Abaya is the top seed, Castro is second. Castro, a 2013 state champ, is going for her second OIA crown.

Girls 122
Haylie Shinsato, Mililani def. Sienna Ho, Moanlaua
Ho is the top seed, Shinsato is second. Ho is going for her second OIA title.

Girls 129
Zoe Tateyama, Kalani, def. Sarah Murallos, Leilehua
Tateyama is the top seed, Murallos is the second seed.

Girls 139
Gezlen Ragudos, Aiea, def. Kayelah Arakaki, Pearl City
Arakaki is the second seed, Ragudos is the fourth seed. Sarah Kaaiakamanu of Pearl City beat top seed Risa Higa of McKinley but lost her next match.

Girls 154
Kari Okubo, Aiea def. Tiana Peterson, Kapolei
Okubo is the second seed and going for her second OIA title. Peterson is the fourth seed. Top seed Richann Benedito of Moanalua lost to Kapolei’s Taysia Kano. Okubo is a state champ.


Girls 172
Mana Borden, Pearl City def. Shivahn Akau, Kapolei
Borden is the second seed, Akau is unseeded and took out top seed Kyrah Hughley of Moanalua and No. 4 Kayla Mae Cuizon of Campbell.

Girls 220
Sarah Miner, Aiea, def. Arianna Harris, Moanalua
Harris is the top seed and Miner is second. Miner beat Sabrina Hollins of Waipahu in the semis.

Boys 108
Jayson Pagurayan, Kapolei def. Tayler Otsuka, Mililani
Pagurayan is the second seed and Otsuka is the fourth seed. Otsuka beat top seed Ritchey Wong of Moanalua. Pagurayan wins his second OIA title.

Boys 114
Andre Pagurayan, Kapolei, def. Diamond Inouye, Moanalua
Inouye is the top seed and Pagurayan is second.

Boys 121
Anthony Brett, Kapolei def. Wendell Abesu, Castle
Ebesu is the top seed, Brett is second.

Boys 132
Micah Tateyama, Kalani, def. Kaulana Narciso, Kapolei
Tateyama is the top seed, Narciso is second. Narciso beat Moanalua’s Chevy Tabiolo Felecilda in the semis to deny him a chance at a third OIA title.

Boys 145
Rodman Salagdron, Kapolei, def. Brent Ikei, Mililani
Salagdron is the second seed, Ikei is fourth. Ikei beat top seed Daeniel Tamzon of McKinley

Boys 161
William Pineda-Abaya, Kalani, vs. Kekua Marumoto, Kapolei
Marumoto is the second seed, Pineda-Abyaya is unseeded but beat top seed Kulana Salera of Moanalua to deny him a second OIA crown. Marumoto is going for his second title.

Boys 178
Maui Lee, Pearl City def. Andrew Pascua, Moanalua
Pascua is the top seed, Lee is unseeded.

Boys 198
Zorich Palimo’o, Moanalua, def. Matthew Keopuhiwa, Pearl City
Palimo’o is the top seed and going for his second OIA title, Keolupuhiwa came in seeded second. Palimoo is a state champion.


Boys 220
Leord Tongi, Kahuku, def. Jackson Fuamatu, Pearl City
Tongi is the top seed, Fuamatu is second. That was the loudest the gym got when Tongi flipped Fuamatu

Boys 285
Matt Miner, Aiea, def. Kelemete Iam-Sam, Farrington
Miner is the second seed, Iam-Sam is unseeded.
