Kamehameha's Payton Bosque made a shot attempt during the first quarter against Punahou at the Girls Water Polo State Championship on Saturday.
On this day in 2017, Kamehameha’s Payton Bosque scored four goals and added an assist as the Warriors continued their mastery of Kahuku with a 5-1 win in the semifinals of the state tournament.
Kamehameha predictably lost to nemesis Punahou in the state final but Bosque ended her career as the school’s second leading scorer in the state tournament with 27. Only Nanea Fujiyama had more with 36. Bosque is still the third-leading scorer in tournament history, behind No. 2 Brailey Hirose-Hulbert with 32.
