Legendary ‘Iolani coach and athletic director Eddie Hamada will be the topic of a talk story event hosted by the ‘Iolani Athletics Club on June 8.
A panel of former players, coaches, faculty members and friends will share memories and life lessons learned by Hamada, who died in 2010. Sports broadcaster Kanoa Leahey, a 1995 ‘Iolani graduate, will be the moderator.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and the cost is $20 per person. It includes pupu and beverages.
Ray Wong (Class of 1949), Hugh Yoshida (’58), Brian Sunada (’66), Mark Mugiishi (’77), Wendell Look (’78) and Sarie Uechi (’86) will be on the panel.
