Four local teams nationally ranked

Baseball and softball are in the swing of things, so to speak.

Boys volleyball hasn’t started regular-season play yet, but local teams are already making a big impression on the national front. Kamehameha, Punahou, ‘Iolani and Hawaii Baptist are in the ESPN Rise Fab 50 rankings.

Kamehameha is ranked No. 6 nationally. Punahou, last year’s No. 1 squad, is ninth, followed by No. 20 ‘Iolani and No. 31 HBA. Seabury Hall is on the cusp of the poll.
