APRIL 20, 2010: Katie Manuma keeps Campbell unbeaten

On this day in 2010, Katie Manuma limited Waianae to four hits and Campbell stayed perfect with a 5-1 win over the Seariders.

Manuma also had two hits including a double.

The Sabers lost their perfect mark with a loss to Leisha Liilii and Castle in the semifinals of the OIA playoffs when the Knights roughed up Manuma for six runs in 5 1/3 innings.


Manuma bounced back to lead Campbell to the state championship, beating Roosevelt, Mid-Pacific, Castle and Punahou. Manuma pitched every inning of the state tournament, including nine against the Owls, giving up only two earned runs and 12 hits in 29 innings.
