On this day in 2000, Eli McAngus hit an inside-the-park grand slam with two outs in the bottom of the seventh at Ala Wai Field and Kamehameha stunned Iolani 11-6.

Bronson Sardinha, Alika Kuraoka and Kai Henry helped set up the heroics to turn a 6-5 deficit into an unlikely victory.

Kahi Kaanoi earned the victory after shutting the Raiders down in the bottom of the seventh.

The Warriors went on to win the ILH that season and beat Leilehua and Kailua before losing 7-6 to Molokai in the state championship game at Iron Maehara Stadium.

Iolani made states as well, beating Mililani and Waiakea before falling to the Farmers 14-8 to deny itself a rematch with the Warriors.
