Kalani’s Manta captures third OIA tourney

Kalani’s Miki Manta shot a 1-over 73 to win the OIA golf tournament No. 7 at Makalena Golf Course on Monday.

Manta, who also won previously this season at West Loch and Ala Wai, finished three shots ahead of Falcons teammate Kaia Takaki.

On the boys side, Kailua’s Caleb Keohokapu won his first outright tournament of the season with a 3-under 69, three strokes ahead of second-place Joseph Vallespin of Moanalua. Last Saturday, Keohokapu shared medalist honors with Moanalua’s Nickolas Nelson.
