Molina sinks halfcourt shot for Wazzu

Former Konawaena girls basketball standout Chanelle Molina is already making an impact for Washington State.

Molina, a former all-state player of the year, banked in a halfcourt shot before the half against Oklahoma State on Sunday. The video is highlighted on the Pac-12 Conference website.

OSU won the game 79-72 in Pullman, handing the Cougars their first loss after three wins. Molina scored a season-high 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting with one rebound and three assists in 31 minutes.

Her sister, Konawaena senior Celena Jane Molina, signed a letter of intent recently to play basketball for Washington State.

Would be nice if there was also a mention of Cameron Fernandez of Lahainaluna who also plays for WSU. She is a freshman.
