‘Iolani, Konawaena, Campbell remain unbeaten at Pa‘ani

The beauty of a pre-scheduled tournament is that pairings bring together strangers from afar.

It also leaves some congestion occasionally. The Pa‘ani Invitational at Punahou now has three teams at 2-0 after two days of play. ‘Iolani, the No. 1-ranked team in the Star-Advertiser Girls Basketball Top 10, takes on winless San Clemente (Calif.) on Friday.

The other two unbeatens will clash. No. 3 Konawaena will battle No. 7 Campbell in a meeting of defending BIIF and OIA champions.

The tournament resumes with four games on Friday night and four early Saturday morning.
