Working out with Marcus

Not everybody gets to say they worked out with Heisman Trophy candidate Marcus Mariota at practice. Ask Marcus, and he’s probably going to say he was honored to work out at his alma mater.

Saint Louis had, from all reports, a stellar performance against a talented Kapolei squad on Thursday. The Hurricanes ran fairly well, while the Crusaders let the pigskin fly with regularity, to nobody’s surprise. Ryder Kuhns to Drew Kobayashi deep. We’ll likely hear that a lot this fall.

But today (and yesterday), it’s hard to ignore the presence of one of the most talented, hard-working and humble student-athletes in island history.

I’ll confirm this today, but word is Saint Louis will scrimmage Kailua on Saturday.
