Waiakea got past Hawaii Prep 28-24 on Thursday for its first win of the season, leaving just three winless teams from the Neighbor Islands.
The three outer-island squads without a win are Keaau (0-5) of the Big Island Interscholastic Federation, Kauai High (0-5) of the Kauai Interscholastic Federation, and King Kekaulike (0-5) of the Maui Interscholastic League.
Statewide, there are two other winless teams — McKinley (0-6) of the Oahu Interscholastic Association Red and OIA Division II’s Anuenue (0-7), which announced last week that it will forfeit the remainder of its schedule.
