Fourteen schools came calling, but only one got defensive tackle Handsome Tanielu‘s oral commitment.
The 6-foot-2, 310-pound Tanielu, who graduated from Waianae in 2010 and played most recently for Snow College in Utah, committed to the Utah Utes last Tuesday, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
Tanielu also tweeted the news, writing, “I would like to say that I’m committing to the University of Utah.”
Boise State, BYU, Missouri, Baylor, Virginia and Oklahoma State were among the colleges Tanielu received scholarship offers from.
