Junior season didn’t go as planned for promising wide receiver Matt Sykes. A leg injury in June of 2018 derailed his chance to start for the Saint Louis Crusaders. he rehabbed hard, returned early and was on the field when they captured their third Open Division state title in a row. This offseason, he was at full strength, impressed recruiters at summer camps, and committed to UCLA. Now a senior, Sykes chatted with Hawaii Prep World during preseason, in between scrimmages against Kaimuki and Kailua.

Must agree on the hush hush with York. Funny as much as recruited starters come in to play for Mill, you can see seniors have left the program. Huh? They have been playing for D1 teams. So they dropped down from Open to D1. Why? Did they leave Mill to make room for the All Stars? Knowing they would sit in their senior year?

But back to St.Louis. 52-6 over Kapolei. This will be the norm for National ranks. St.Lou needs to travel to Mater Dei or St.John Bosco to matter.
