Saint Louis’ Ronson Timbreza sealed the Crusaders’ first ILH title since 2010 with an interception in the final minute to preserve a 27-23 win over Punahou on Saturday night at Aloha Stadium.
Senior Saitaua Lefau, who scored the game-winning touchdown on a 4-yard run with 3:50 remaining, had three touchdowns in the game. He is one of four different Crusaders to start at least one game at running back this season.
Both talked about Saint Louis’ emotional win over the Buffanblu to move on to the state tournament.
