VIDEO: Saints’ tying TD, controversial PAT

Bubba Akana‘s game-tying touchdown pass to Scott McLeod with 1:10 remaining brought St. Francis back into a 14-all tie with Damien, but it was the beginning of a confusing situation when Damien’s Matt Faufata-Pedrina appeared to block the ensuing PAT kick. Damien was penalized for roughing the kicker. St. Francis went on to convert the next PAT attempt en route to a 15-14 playoff win.

The teams will meet again next Friday for the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II championship.

Wow, that’s a bad call….#3 blocked the kick….you can’t be called for roughing the kicker if you blocked the kick…game should have gone into OT….

How is that a penalty when the defender was going after the ball, and actually blocks it? Is this an ILH rule that you can’t contact the kicker even if the defender blocks a kick?
