VIDEO: No. 1 Saint Louis plays lights out vs. No. 4 Kahuku

Before the game was called at halftime due to weather conditions and flickering lights, top-ranked Saint Louis rolled to a 28-0 lead over a determined Kahuku squad on Saturday night at Aloha Stadium.

What’s next for a “determined Kahuku squad”?? 32 zero against Mililani 28 zero (first half) Saint Louis. Punahoe going to dump them next. That pop warner offense not going to work against teams with similar talent.

education first a.k.a. just saying. you obviously don’t know football and never played football before. kahuku was on the verge of making a comeback and somehow, CONVENIENTLY, the lights go out and the ILH homer refs call the game. classic “coach” cal lee. only plays when the deck is stacked in his favor. we play anyone any time, any where, any place, mainland, at our house, at aloha stadium, anywhere.

Saint louis doesn’t even want to travel mainland to play becuse they know as soon as they stop winning, nobody is gonna want to go to their school and them and the rest of the ILH like punahou and kamehameha will shut down their schools because of lack of students. it’s so sad how these “schools” only care about football and will destroy communities by recruiting to keep them down

Would love to see St. Louis play st join Bosco 🤣🤣🤣

  5. Really? September 15, 2019 3:11 am

What game were you watching? Haha. Kahuku looked like an intermediate team playing The Lou.

  6. BleedRed September 15, 2019 4:05 am

It is true,Big Red will play anybody anytime and anywhere but to say we were on the verge of making a comeback when the lights conveniently went out is comical, gotta give credit where credit is due, though I don’t care for the Crusaders, they gave us a thumping, somethings gotta change, the only good thing our offense did last night was to run clock, defense put pressure on DeLaura but couldn’t keep him in containment.RRFL,another week, another game, come back stronger boyz

Comeback? Lol. What game you was watching? Big Red did some nice things, but not enough. Speed kills. De Laura is way better than last year. Back to work Big Red.

    RRFL!!

Top three teams in the State, Saint Louis, Punahou Mililani, no one Else even close, what else can i say.

  10. ilh September 15, 2019 9:53 am

What comeback you talking about ? not with the top three teams in the State, maybe with the weaker teams, hahahahahahahahaha.

I have noticed that many of the posters supporting Kahuku about 4 years ago are now nowhere to be seen.

I have read comments about how Kahuku was the Enemy of the State. I have read how the Kahuku community is so much better than the other communities. Just a lot of arrogance from numerous posters.

I think the Kahuku community is a fine one, but no better than Mililani, Ewa, Kailua, Kalihi, Waianae, etc.

I feel that there are a lot of bandwagon riders. How else can you explain posts involving Kahuku go from having 20-30 posters, to now having maybe 2-5.

It really shouldn’t matter if the team is 0-10 or 10-0, the support should be unconditional.

This post has nothing to do with the consistent Kahuku supporters. This is meant for those who displayed so much arrogance and a real lack of class, but now have disappeared.

Who really cares if the team is doing well or not. The kid practice, learn, stay out of trouble, and are participating in something they really love.

That is the most important aspects of sports.

If the game wasn’t canceled St. Louis would have mercy ruled us, another “first” for this coaching staff. The game plan was offensive, how about a game plan that make our athletes competitive. All last year this offense had limited success yet they still continue and even added more receivers in pursuit of it. I believe even idiots can learn from their mistakes so I reserve further judgement. Congrats to the defense for holding on as best you could. Offense needs to contribute more in these tough games. Class of ’72.

That was a fun scrimmage! Laie pop warner did good against the Crusaders!

Not all Red Raider fans are crybabies like Notes/??? and Gandhi (same scrub who neva play any sports in HS). We got the talent and support from our community but the coaching revolving door has hurt the development of our passing and special teams play. Run first and hit the open receiver occasionally for big plays has been a winning recipe. Improve special team play. Most of the time that’s enough to be competitive. Consistency is the key to our success but hats off to St. Louis you guys raise the bar in da 808.

  15. HLI September 16, 2019 8:52 am

Untrue. RR will not play anyone, anywhere or anytime.
Cannot say that anymore. 9/14/2019 around 930ish is the evidence.

  16. rrforlifebaby September 16, 2019 9:41 am

Easy to talk crap when you on top. But it is what it is. You guys on top, so until the situation changes, the rest of us just got to eat it.

But I know most of the “haters” weren’t saying much when Big Red kicked everyone else’s arses for 8 championships; all the while doing it with an outdated Offense.

It doesn’t matter what kind of O you run if you go up against a D that is talented and well coached. Seriously, De La Salle still runs a version of the Veer, and their still one of the top teams in the nation in any given year.

St Louis just has a killer D and looks loaded for the next several years.

On to the next. Big Red just needs to get to work and play whomever is next.

    RRFL!!

do you hear yourself? Comparing Kahuku to De La Salle? lol not even close. De La Salle O Line Averages 250 a person with speed and let me tell you the coaches are at a way completely different level. Comparing Kahuku to De La Salle lol Hilarious. Kahuku O Line averages 300 Plus and is slow lol. Again you cant even compare Kahuku to De La Salle, two totally different levels of play. Im rolling right now lol.

  18. HLI September 16, 2019 11:33 am

    Oweeeee. 8 championships. #humblebrag

Remember the time you guys when quit against ST. Lulu in 2019?
