McKinley quarterback Alexandria Buchanan, who became the first female to throw a TD pass in a Hawaii high school football game on Saturday, made the top plays segment of ESPN’s SportsCenter tonight.
Buchanan started in a 27-26 loss to Kalaheo and finished 7-for-16 for 135 yards with the one TD.

Way to go young lady!
Thank you ESPN’s Neil Everett for the aloha!
Hawaii Prep World should have had better coverage of the game. It took KHON TV to have footage? HPW should know when Hawaii high school football history would be made and be there. In a series of yearly failures for McKinley, this was a gleaming gem. Cmon Man, someone fumbled the ball. A footage of sideline interview? HPW,OC16,SCORINGLIVE?
I guess the “C” in Coach C doesnt stand for “Chill”?
