Wednesday was a winning day for Tim Horn.
The 6-foot-3 Punahou senior-to-be began the day with a call from the University of Washington, which offered him a football scholarship. That gives Horn, a placekicker, offers from three schools. The other two are Hawaii and Army.
Then, in the afternoon under a blazing-hot sun at Kunuiakea Stadium, Horn was named most valuable player among the PKs.
His classmate, Tyler Sato, was named the MVP Long Snapper by coaches.
Kahuku’s 6-5 senior-to-be, Ethan Erickson, was selected the MVP Punter.
I dont think RR plan to punt too much this season. But, its good to have a great punter ready.
