Tagovailoa’s latest offer: Ole Miss

Ole Miss is the latest suitor — and the first from the SEC — in pursuit of Saint Louis quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance (PIAA) shared the news on Wednesday about the 6-foot-1, 190-pound sophomore. Tagovailoa also has offers from UCLA, Texas Tech, Hawaii, USC and Colorado.

He passed for 2,571 yards and 33 touchdowns in 10 games with just three interceptions. The southpaw completed 69.1 percent of his pass attempts (10.9 yards per) with a passer rating of 204.18, the best by a local QB in recent years.

Tagovailoa also rushed for 553 yards (6.2 per carry) and seven TDs.

He was named offensive MVP in last week’s Tanoa Bowl, an all-star game between Hawaii and Washington players. The Hawaii team won 28-23.

Note: Corrects the total number of offers. Colorado was the fifth school, prior to Ole Miss.
