Spectrum to broadcast more than 50 prep football games this season

Spectrum will televise 38 regular season and 14 playoff prep football games this season.

The TV schedule kicks off next Friday with Mililani playing Campbell on Spectrum OC16 and Kapolei facing Waianae on Spectrum XCast.

Highlights from the schedule include the broadcast of a regular-season KIF game between Waimea and Kapaa at Vidinha Stadium on Kauai on Aug. 30 and the St. John Bosco (Calif.) vs. Mililani game on Sept. 21 at John Kauinana Stadium.


Mililani, Kapolei and Saint Louis will all have seven games broadcast while Punahou, Kamehameha, Campbell, Waianae and Kahuku will be shown six times. Farrington, the last Open Division team, will be shown twice.

Twenty six of the 38 games in the regular season are OIA-ILH Open Division games. Eight Division I games and two Division II games will be shown.
