Saint Louis senior Jonah Panoke, who has committed to the University of Hawaii, has been invited to participate in the 2018 Polynesian Bowl.

Panoke, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound wide receiver, leads the Saints with 10 receptions and 160 receiving yards and has also scored a touchdown this year in three games.

Saint Louis (3-0) is the unanimous No. 1 team in the state heading into Saturday’s game against Punahou for the ILH Division I lead.

Panoke, who also caught a 52-yard touchdown pass and had three receptions for 101 yards as a junior in the 2016 Open Division state title win over Kahuku, is the second Crusader invited to the Polynesian Bowl.

Saint Louis safety Isaiah Tufaga is joined on the defensive side by Kapolei’s Kukea Emmsley, Aaron Faumui and Rocky Savea, along with Waianae’s Kana’i Mauga, Kahuku’s Samson Reed and Kamehameha’s Jonah Welch.

Panoke will be joined on offense in the annual all-star game scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at Aloha Stadium by ‘Iolani receiver Justin Genovia, Kailua offensive lineman Sione Veikoso and Punahou offensive lineman Alama Uluave.

The 12th invitee from Hawaii will be announced tonight on Cover2: Hawaii High School Football Weekly at 9:30 p.m. on KHON2.
