Different year, same result.
So far, at least. Saint Louis collected all 12 first-place votes from coaches and media to remain a unanimous No. 1 in the Star-Advertiser Football Top 10.
The Crusaders played their first game since losing at Bishop Gorman on Aug. 20, pulling away for a 41-23 win over No. 4 Punahou on Saturday.
‘Iolani (4-0) remained at No. 7 after a 47-0 rout of Pac-Five.
Hilo, the defending state champion in Division I, entered the Top 10. The Vikings share the No. 10 spot with Lahainaluna.

Also receiving votes: Moanalua 7, Farrington 5, Waianae 2, Saint Louis I-AA 1.
Moanalua got more votes than Waianae or Farrington. Good for the Mene’s.
Btw, somebody posted on IG that RR’s are going to win the OIA and become the State Champs this year. It was posted promptly after the Lulu and Puns game.
I can’t wait for the OIA season to start and see how good these teams really are.
I mean, with all the players that went out of state, the players that arent playing due to vaccine related reasons and no football for 2 years, it begs the question. How good can it be?
Also factor in all the transfers to Millilani and the always over the top recruiting of Lulu to throw the competitive balance out of whack (shout out to Education1st).
3 days and counting.
