Report: Player on Maui arrested for theft at game

Hawaii News Now’s Chelsea Davis reported Wednesday night that a King Kekaulike varsity football player has been arrested on suspicion of a locker-room theft during Na Alii’s junior varsity football game against Lahainaluna at the Lunas’ new Sue D. Cooley Stadium on Maui on Sept. 12.

Other King Kekaulike varsity football players are being investigated for their possible roles in the incident, according to the report, but an exact number is not known. Davis spoke to parents of the victimized players and found that 11 junior varsity players reported $200 cash and other items were taken.
