Star-Advertiser columnist Dave Reardon wrote a blog post over on hawaiiwarriorworld.com addressing Thursday night’s prep football marathon between Mililani and Farrington that started at 8:38 p.m. and ended at midnight on a school night.
Presumably, that set up a tough day of school on Friday for all high school students involved, between players, cheerleaders and the band. Not to mention practice after the bell finally does ring to end the school day.
Reardon talked to Oahu Interscholastic Association executive director Ray Fujino, and they bounced some thoughts off each other. The OIA doesn’t have any more Thursday night games scheduled and the ILH has two, but both of those have 6 p.m. start times.
