Punahou works on hosting Edison next season

Punahou went all the way to the state final in football a year ago, but did not play a preseason game.

Next year will be different. It appears Edison High of California will be coming to play the Buffablu on Aug. 21 at Aloha Stadium. The game is in the planning stages and not yet finalized, according to Punahou coach Kale Ane.

Ane said the school is also in talks with a bunch of teams in Northern California about a Buffanblu trip there for a game this fall.

Last season, Punahou’s only scheduled preseason game, against Leilehua, was canceled due to a storm.
