Punahou DB named Polynesian Bowl All-Star

Punahou defensive back Kaulana Makaula has been selected a Polynesian Bowl All-Star.

The announcement came tonight on Cover2: Hawaii High School Football weekly on KHON2.

Makaula, who is 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, can play both defensive back and safety. He holds scholarship offers from Brigham Young and Hawaii.


The third annual Polynesian Bowl high school football all-star game will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019 at Aloha Stadium


Over the next nine weeks, Hawaii Prep World and Cover2: Hawaii High School Football Weekly will announce selections for the game from Hawaii every Thursday.

For a complete list of players selected to the Polynesian Bowl, click here. Makaula is the fourth player picked from Punahou, joining K Tim Horn, OL Duke Clemens and LB Maninoa Tufono.
