Polynesian Bowl adds Kailua offensive lineman

Kailua offensive lineman Sione Veikoso has been invited to the 2018 Polynesian Bowl.

Veikoso, who is 6-foot-8 and 290 pounds, holds Division I scholarship offers from BYU, Hawaii, Oregon State and Washington State.

Veikoso was profiled in the Star-Advertiser last month and did an extensive Q&A with the Star-Advertiser’s Paul Honda.


Other players from Hawaii invited to the Polynesian Bowl are Kamehameha defensive end Jonah Welch, Saint Louis safety Isaiah Tufaga, Punahou offensive lineman Alama Uluave, Kahuku defensive end Samson Reed, Waianae linebacker Kana’i Mauga, Kapolei defensive linemen Aaron Faumui and Kukea Emmsley, Kapolei linebacker Rocky Savea and ‘Iolani receiver Justin Genovia.


The annual high school all-star game is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at Aloha Stadium.
