Kamana Pimental scored for saint Louis with 17 seconds left.

On this date in 2011, Saint Louis needed every play to avoid a third ILH loss.

Kamana Pimental scored from five yards out with 17 seconds left to break open a tie game and beat Iolani 42-35 at Aloha Stadium.

The Crusaders enjoyed a 35-14 lead at halftime but Jordan Lee plunged in from a yard out for Iolani with 3:49 remaining.


Iolani had a chance to tie it with 17 seconds left, but Reece Foy was sacked by Kamalei Correa before having his Hail Mary batted down with no time left on the clock. Foy threw for 47 yards in the first half but led the comeback with 212 in the second.


Pimental scored three touchdowns in the game, gaining 147 yards on 24 carries. He led Saint Louis in rushing in seven of the team’s 10 games and went over the century mark five times.


The Crusaders used the momentum to beat Damien 63-0 in the next game but closed with losses to Kamehameha (21-7) and Punahou (31-19).
