Central Florida quarterback McKenzie Milton will appear and be honored at the 2018 Polynesian Bowl, officials announced today.

Milton, a 2016 Mililani alumnus who guided the Knights to a 13-0 record and win over Auburn in the Peach Bowl, will attend the Polynesian Bowl Hall of Fame festivities next weekend and appear at the game on Saturday, Jan. 20, at Aloha Stadium.

Milton finished eighth in the Heisman Trophy voting and was the American Athletic Conference offensive player of the year. He threw for 3,795 yards and 35 touchdowns and rushed for 497 yards and seven scores.

Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, a 2017 Saint Louis alumnus who led a comeback in the second half to defeat Georgia to win the national championship on Monday, was also scheduled to appear, but will instead be attending a championship parade in Alabama.
