Freshman starting quarterback McKenzie Milton of Mililani and his Central Florida teammates are bowl eligible after Saturday’s 24-3 home victory over Cincinnati.
The Knights (6-4) are having an amazing turnaround season under first-year head coach Scott Frost, who is a former Oregon assistant. A year ago, Central Florida went 0-12.
In the win over the Bearcats, Milton went 22-for-34 for 150 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions. For the season in seven games, Milton is 121-for-204 for 1,350 yards, nine touchdowns, three interceptions and three rushing touchdowns.
Two seasons ago, as a junior in high school, Milton led the Trojans to the state Division I championship.
So… this is cool but not exactly “PREP” news?
