Mililani star wide receiver Kalakaua Timoteo is out with a sprained ankle, head coach Rod York said Friday night on phone from Aloha Stadium, where he was attending the No. 1 Saint Louis vs. No. 2 Punahou game.
Timoteo, who has given his oral commitment to the University of Hawaii, will miss the Trojans’ game at Kailua on Saturday night. Mililani (5-1, 5-0) can wrap up the Oahu Interscholastic Association Blue title and the a No. 1 seed in the playoffs with a win over the Surfriders (6-1, 5-1).
York said Timoteo sprained the ankle on Monday at practice and went to get checked out by a doctor, who told him to rest it for a week. York said the trainers will see how Timoteo feels on Monday and make a decision on whether he will practice or not.
Timoteo also suffered from the flu this week and missed some school time, according to York.

After the Kailua game, the Trojans wrap up their regular season Oct. 2 at Moanalua.
