Four more teams earned state berths Friday night, including two who also clinched league titles on the Neighbor Islands.

On the Valley Isle, Maui High clinched its second Division I state berth since the tournament started in 1999 by beating Baldwin 26-13 at War Memorial Stadium. That win put the Maui Interscholastic League second-round title and the overall Division I championship in the bag for the Sabers (5-5), who had previously won the league’s first round.

On Hawaii island, host Konawaena (8-2) grabbed the Big Island Interscholastic Federation’s Division II championship with a 17-9 victory over Kamehameha-Hawaii in the title game. It was the third title in a row and sixth in seven years for the Wildcats, who will play in the state D-II bracket.

Kahuku and Mililani also earned their spots in the state (D-I-Open) tournament on Friday night by winning OIA D-I semifinal games.

Seven of the 12 state berths (four teams each in three tiers) have been wrapped up, with five more to go. For a complete list of who’s in and who’s out, click here.
