Mililani senior defensive tackle Rex Manu confirmed Monday that he is not committed to any school at this point.

He was once orally committed to Stanford, but recently de-committed from the Cardinal.

There was recent speculation that Manu conmitted to Oregon, but he said that is not the case after Monday’s practice.

“I was watching a game with an Oregon hat on (the Ducks’ win over Michigan State on Sept. 5, during a recruiting visit) and somebody took pictures of that so I guess some people thought that meant I committed,” he said.

Manu did say that he is “leaning” toward committing to Oregon.

Washington, Washington State, Vanderbilt and Hawaii are also recruiting Manu.

Quarterback Marcus Mariota (Saint Louis), a Heisman Trophy candidate, offensive lineman Davis Miyashiro (Punahou), tight end Koa Ka‘ai (Kamehameha), defensive lineman DeForst Buckner (Punahou), defensive back Bronson Yim (Saint Louis), and linebacker Isaac Ava (Saint Louis) are on the Ducks’ roster.
