Liberty High School of Henderson, Nev., will play two Hawaii football powerhouses, Mililani and Saint Louis, on consecutive weeks in the upcoming season.
The Patriots, who went 10-3 and lost to Bishop Gorman in the Nevada Division I state semifinals a year ago, will play Saint Louis at Aloha Stadium on Aug. 29. The start time is TBA.
The following week, on Sept. 4, Liberty hosts Hawaii’s Division I reigning champion Mililani at Freedom Field on the school’s campus at 7 p.m.
The Crusaders did not make the state tournament a year ago, losing to Punahou in the ILH final.
The Trojans won the OIA title and went on to defeat Punahou 53-45 in the state final at Aloha Stadium.
